About

Steve Sherron bloggerlens.comWelcome to my “About” page where it is customary that I tell you about myself. If you have clicked your way here, you must be a little curious so I will share some info with you.

I spent 4 years in the US Navy right after high school. It was a great adventure. I was actually involved in the Iran Hostage crisis in 1979. Scary times on a ship when you are far from home.

Following my tour of duty, I worked 24 years in the corporate world for a leading telecommunications company. I worked in many different aspects of the company and finished the last 11 years in management. “Can You Hear Me Now? It starts with a “V”.

Now, I consider myself a Media Entrepreneur. Most of the time I’m busy building my network of community websites where I live. Some call it hyperlocal blogging but I’ve built a network beyond hyperlocal at this point. If you have questions about what I do, feel free to email and ask. I’ve helped many people that way and I don’t usually mind giving my opinion and advice.

I claim to sometimes be a video blogger. I really enjoy it and believe that video is certainly the future of the internet.

I have opinions that may differ from yours. I use a lot of Social Media in my day to day work. From time to time I make fun of Social Media and the way people use it.

I have recently started a new project with 3 friends who I have followed and respected for a long time for the work they do. Josh Whitford, Allyn Hane & Brian Matson. Experts in their related fields of internet marketing, social media and community building.

Echelon Media is a new Social Media Marketing & Consulting business we have started. Check it out, I’m sure you will like what you see. We are real people who actually do what we teach. No fluff allowed.

Thanks for dropping by. Welcome to Bloggerlens. Please participate, I love it when that happens.

    Hey Steve,

great reply on Allyn's site re: Don Johnson.. I've go nothing much to contribute except that I like your style. Great writing. I didn't dig Don Johnson much , then again I was raised by Charles Bronson and Steve McQueen who would have kick Don's ass in the first 3 minutes. This will obviously place me in the AARP category where all the wives buy the shit you mentioned. Since I am on my third one, trust me, I am right. Anyway great to meet you and whenever I shave my head I will not fail to visit your site.
    Regards
