For Christmas, we gave ourselves a new 55″ Panasonic TC-P55UT50 Plasma TV.
I have to say, I’ve been digging this TV a lot.
It’s one of those Smart TV’s and I really like a lot of the features it offers.
A few days ago I decided to set up my cameras and make some videos showing the features of the TV.
I’ve been posting them on YouTube this week.
The TV we bought is the Panasonic TC-P55UT50 Viera Plasma model.
We bought it at Costco for less than $1000.
This TV has an SD digital card slot where you can insert your own card and watch media (video or photos) you made directly on the TV.
You simply insert an SD card, push the Viera Tools button on the remote and then navigate through your videos.
Watching videos that you make on a big 55″ screen is pretty awesome. It makes you want to go out and shoot a lot of video just so you can watch it on your TV.
Check out my YouTube video where I walk you through the steps and show you exactly how this feature works.

**Update** I am very happy that I decided to buy this TV. It has completely changed the way I watch TV.
I spend a lot of time shooting videos with my video camera and it’s a great feature of this Panasonic to be able to pop in the SD card and watch all of the video I shot on a crystal clear screen that is huge.
You could download movies and transfer them to your SD card and then watch those videos on your TC-P55UT50. That’s a great feature.
If you are shopping for a new TV, definitely put the Panasonic TC-P55UT50 on your short list.
