Hear, hear, hyperlocal blogs need Google search engine traffic just like anyone on the internet who wants to be found. All the other search engines are good to have in your corner, so to speak, but Google is the big IT! on the internet.

As for is hyperlocal blogging worth it, well sure it is. There are many ways to describe worth and a well conceived hyperlocal blog will pass the test for each of them.

Thanks for showing us the way, Steve.

I would imagine that hyperlocal blogs could really benefit from search engine optimization techniques. If you’re writing about a town, people in that town need to know about it! Or, potential visitors to your town may like to know about it. We need your blog to pop up as one of the top listings when someone searches google for ::insert your town here::.
