Learning HDR Photography

Hi folks, it’s been a very busy summer for me, how about you?

One of the things I’ve been doing lately is a lot more photography and a lot more videography.

I think the learning process just gets me all jacked up and I keep going.

I have been starting the process of learning HDR photography. High Dynamic Range.

In a nutshell, you take the same photo with 3 different exposures.

I use a program called Photomatix from hdrsoft.com to combine the images into one for an artistic effect.

We had a thunderstorm recently here at the pond and a beautiful rainbow appeared.

I grabbed my Canon 60D and shot 3 exposures and ran them through Photomatix.

Here is the resulting photo. Click photo for larger image.

I’m just learning but having fun. I’m getting better I promise but I think the photo is cool and I may just frame it.

It’s not hard and if I can do it so can you.

I’ll begin to post more photos as I learn more and get better.

Oh yea, I’ve been doing a ton of videos lately. I love videoblogging.

Click my YouTube link in the sidebar and you can see all the videos I’ve been posting lately.

Take care, I’ll see you soon again here on BloggerLens.
