I pulled up behind a Jeep a few days ago and snapped this with my Blackberry. I thought it was pretty cool and another form of cheap marketing & advertising. I doubt this person has $200 invested. I would imagine that this simple marketing technique has sent a good bit of business their way. Would use use vehicle advertising decals to brand yourself or your business?

Would you use it?

I was wondering what you were up to. Gotta love those big back windows of SUVs for decals, plenty of space to place any and all advertising you can handle. The video was pretty funny, ha. The hardest part for me was getting the tape to stick to the newly cleaned window. It sure is a lot of fun when I get tweets from people saying they saw me around somewhere. Non have said quit cutting my off asshole so I must be a decent driver.
I have been thinking about adding advertising to my vehicle. I drive a GM vehicle also, so I could fit in well with you boys. (mine is a baby-boy truck, a GMC Canyon).
anyway, I just have to decide what to advertise.
maybe I will do an ad that reads:
“f-you alister dot com”
Oh, BTW– my faves are the MLM scammers that wrap their vehicles with stuff like:
“see how I changed my life with go-gi juice”
LOL
and they are driving a 1986 Hyundai! ROFL
I only cut people off and give the finger when I’m in my other unmarked vehicles. That is the downfall of advertising on your vehicle. I might put both of your websites on the back of my Suburban and then go on a spree.
The decal is by far the most cost effective way to build brand awareness.
The decal used correctly is a powerful tool in the tool box of a marketing team, because of two factors. The first is the cost of the decalcomania which is very low; the seconded is the message duration, is counted in years not minutes or months. The ubiquitous decal if designed correctly will communicate brand awareness long after broadcast and print media, complete its task, the decal will keep reminding the consumer of your brand as a 24 hour a day silent sales person.

Sounds like we need to come up with a clan tag and place that on our gas guzzlers, like all of those prepubescent gaming kids. I think it should be a sea turtle.
Bugger is still the most popular tag on Toyota 4WDs in NZ -you have to watch the ad to understand though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-Y3AsZ19Hc
